But Sunlight Mountain Resort, Strawberry Days and a chance call from a former boss brought them “home” with their two children, Clare, 6, and Max, 2 ½ . How did they meet? They hung wit h t he sa me crowd in high school but never dated, reconnecting eight yea rs a f ter Erin’s gra duation at Doc Holliday’s Saloon when she was home for a visit. Where did they go from there? Erin’s folks moved to Baltimore, a nd t hey followed. Erin During the next 11 years: Smit h School of Business at t he University of Ma r yla nd, gra duate degrees, wor k in Applied Ant hropology a nd Archa eology, impressive jobs, two kids. What kept pulling them back every year? Brent’s fa mily, good friends, Sunlight Mountain Resor t a nd t he Strawber r y Days Festival. How did they transcend big city jobs to mountain town living? Brent got a call out of t he blue from a Glenwood stockbroker wit h whom he ha d , Max interned 15 yea rs prior. They jumped at t he oppor tunity to return to t he sa fety a nd bea uty of t heir hometown. What are they doing now? Brent is a Sales Associate at Stifel Nicholas, where he wor ks wit h Sumner Scha chter once his internship super visor , a nd mentor. Erin has founded Ancient Excursions, where she pla ns high-end tours at reasonable prices to international destinations. She recently bra nched out to holiday trips, cultural herita ge a nd scenic jeep tours, pa cka ging wit h Glenwood Ca nyon Resor t a nd ot her local destinations including Sunlight Mountain Resor t a nd Glenwood Caverns.
