Global Knowledge-Cisco - (Page 23) IUWNE - Implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials v1.0 Course 5999 Design, install, and troubleshoot a Cisco WLAN. Course Description Learn to design, install, configure, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting of a Cisco WLAN in small and medium-sized business and enterprise installations. This course is designed to help you prepare for the CCNA Wireless certification, an associate-level certification in the wireless field. Reinforce what you learn with instructor-assisted, handson labs that include creating an ad-hoc connection and analyzing the communication, configuring a controller and access point (AP), converting an autonomous AP to controller-based mode, installing and configuring a mobility express wireless controller and AP, configuring EAP-FAST authentication with WPA, configuring the controller and the AP from the WCS interface, working with the map editor tool, and backing up the controller configuration and WCS database. You’ll also address troubleshooting issues introduced by the instructor. Since GigaWave provides the laptops necessary for lab participation in this course, you do not need to bring a laptop for lab purposes. Internet access for students depends upon the venue and isn’t required for class. Hands-On Labs Lab 1-1: Familiarize with Antennae and Ranges Lab 1-2: EIRP Calculation and Antenna Choice Lab 1-3 Create an Ad Hoc (IBSS) Network and Analyze the Communication Lab 2-1: Configure a Controller Lab 2-2: Configure and Convert an Autonomous AP to ControllerBased Mode Lab 2-3: Install and Configure a Mobility Express Wireless Controller and AP Lab 3-1: Install and Use the ADU Lab 3-2: Experiment Connection and Roaming Lab 4-1: 802.1Q and Web Authentication Lab 4-2: Configure EAP-FAST Authentication with WPA Lab 5-1: Configure Controllers and APs from the WCS Interface Lab 5-2: Working with Maps Lab 5-3: Monitor the Network and Locate Devices Lab 6-1: Back Up the Controller Configuration and WCS Database Lab 6-2: Troubleshooting Lab 6-3: Troubleshooting with Wireshark and Converting an Access Point to Autonomous Mode (Optional) Course Content 1.
