Global Knowledge-Cisco - (Page 35) CIPT2 v4.1– Cisco IP Telephony Part 2 Course 5637 Cisco Course v4.1 | CallManager Software v4.1 | Prepares you for Cisco Exam 642-444 CIPT. Course Description In this cutting-edge Authorized Cisco course, you will learn to exploit advanced features of Cisco CallManager (CCM) and IP telephones. These advanced features will allow you to deploy video in your IP telephony network and to properly secure your voice and video communications as well as provide you with enhanced skills for monitoring and managing your network. Hands-On Labs Our CIPT2 v4.1 lab environment consists of eight interconnected CallManager 4.1 clusters. Two students are responsible for configuring each cluster. A sophisticated telephony simulation allows you to configure a complete dial plan including Class of Service. This course focuses on CallManager configuration; routers are not configured. Lab 1: Enhanced – Topology and Deployment Wire the CIPT2 classroom network and image the CallManager servers for each cluster. The CallManager is pre-installed but not configured, as you become familiar with extension mobility test profiles. This lab takes less than 60 minutes, and no additional wiring is required for any later labs. Lab 2: CallManager Initial Setup Preparing for later labs, activate CallManager services, enable auto registration, provide initial configuration of IP phones, and configure CDR and tracing. Lab 3: Exclusive – Dial Plan Lab Deploy a full dial plan on the CallManager allowing calls out to the PSTN. Test dial to 911, 3-digit service codes, 7- and 10-digit local numbers, long distance, and international numbers. Having a dial plan in place greatly enhances future labs such as “Preventing Toll Fraud using CoS.” Lab 4: Harden the Windows Operating System In this lab, you will secure the Windows operating system and create a login legal message. You will set up an auditor user group and install Cisco CSA. Lab 5: Securing CCM Administration using MLA Explore controlling various administrator capabilities using Cisco’s Multilevel Administrative feature. Lab 6: Exclusive – CoS – Part 1 A real-world Class of Service deployment is put in place in this lab. You will be able to completely test your Class of Service using the equipment in your own pod. Lab 7: Exclusive – CoS Part 2: Preventing Toll Fraud using CoS In this lab, configure Class of Service including Time of Day Routing and Forced Authority Codes (FACs). Also, restrict Call Forwarding and block commonly exploited area codes. Lab 8: Hardening the IP Phone Harden your IP phones by controlling settings access, gratuitous ARP, PC Voice VLAN access, and web access. Lab 9: Authentication & Encryption In this lab, activate the CallManager services needed for authentication and encryption, and install and configure the Cisco CTL client so phone certificates can be generated and downloaded to the phones to enable authentication and encryption. Validate all aspects of phone security including recording and playing back a conversation before and after encryption is enabled. Lab 10: Video Enable video capabilities and install the Cisco VT Advantage software so video calls can be placed. Configure locations to control bandwidth usage for video calls. Lab 11: Management & Monitoring Deploy and test a number of management and monitoring tools including Microsoft Performance Monitor and Cisco’s Real-Time Monitoring tool. Lab 12: Extension Mobility (Optional) Deploy Extension Mobility if you need experience with this feature. Why Take CIPT2 v4.1 from Global Knowledge? We offer a unique, real-world CIPT2 lab environment that evolves seamlessly from the CMBA/CIPT1 course material, providing continuity in your learning experience. We have set ourselves apart from other Cisco training providers by enhancing our CIPT2 hands-on labs to include a simulated PSTN, which enhances labs like our dial plan lab for toll fraud prevention and our tools lab using Dialed Number Analyzer. No other training company offers a unique, real-world lab solution like ours. See our web site for more features of our lab solution.
