Set out serving dishes and utensils the day before, or plan which ones to use. Make two shopping trips; the first one for all ingredients that will not perish (can be done a week ahead) and the second one a day or two before the brunch to pick up perishables. Bake and freeze recipes ahead of time. Most coffee cakes, muffins, quick breads and yeast breads can be baked ahead and stored tightly wrapped in the freezer for up to three months.
