Betty Crocker Brunch - (Page 42) pancakes & waffles • QuiCk Tiramisu Waffles Prep Time: 30 Minutes Start to Finish: 30 Minutes Servings: 6 ToPPing 2 2 1 ¼ 1 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour tablespoons baking cocoa tablespoon baking powder teaspoon salt oz semisweet baking chocolate, grated 1 ¼ 1 1 ⁄3 ½ 3 ½ ¼ 2 1¼ teaspoon instant coffee granules cup milk package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened cup powdered sugar teaspoon vanilla eggs cup granulated sugar cup vegetable oil oz unsweetened baking chocolate, melted cups milk 1. In small bowl, dissolve coffee granules in ¼ cup milk. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Beat in milk mixture until well blended. 2. Heat waffle maker. If necessary, brush with vegetable oil before batter for each waffle is added (or spray with cooking spray before heating). In large bowl, beat eggs, granulated sugar, oil and melted unsweetened chocolate with wire whisk until smooth. Beat in 1¼ cups milk, the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt just until smooth. 3. Pour about ½ cup batter onto center of hot waffle maker. (Check manufacturer’s directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker. 4. Bake about 4 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve waffle topped with 1 heaping tablespoon topping and 1 teaspoon grated chocolate.
