BASIC IMPLANT PRINCIPLES
Treatment planning for the implant patient begins with the final
prosthesis in mind. How do we go about building up a case from
a single tooth or full mouth reconstruction? The clinician reviews
clinical steps necessary to achieve success including comprehensive treatment modalities necessary from the restorative to surgical phases of treatment. Proper diagnosis and treatment planning
will enable the clinician to begin sequencing their case to achieve
both restorative and surgical success. Various case studies are
presented and reviewed throughout the program.
BONE GRAFTING TECHNIQUES FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
Dental implant surgery is a very predictable treatment. However,
it is very common to encounter severely resorbed ridges, which
makes dental implant treatment diļ¬cult. The clinician presents
many innovative options to overcome pneumatized sinus, thin
ridges and loss of vertical bone heights. Diagnosis and guidelines for these treatments are reviewed. Treatment planning for
subsequent implant treatment is discussed. A new sinus classification which simplifies the treatment of pneumatized sinus is also
presented along with a simplified GBR technique.

OPTIMUM IMPLANT PLACEMENT AND ESTHETICS USING
EXTRACTION SITE PRESERVATION TECHNIQUES
This hands-on workshop focuses on the ideal implant placement
by maintaining the bucco-lingual dimension of bone following
extraction through extraction socket preservation techniques. The
application of bone regenerative materials and soft tissue surgical
preservation techniques are essential to an esthetic result and are
discussed and utilized at length during this workshop. A review
of the literature and useful clinical "tricks" in combination with
the hands-on portion of the presentation allows attendees to be
comfortable with bone-grafting of extraction pockets for future
implant placement. Implant placement and size is discussed as it
relates to extraction socket anatomy

This hands-on workshop looks at all issues that clinicians involved
with implant prosthodontics need to be knowledgeable about
including: patient ASA classification; medications; diagnostic
phase for implant planning and placement with 3D radiographs;
and stereolithography models for improved placement in compromised bone sites. The surgical phase and prosthetic phase with
the laboratory phase of reconstruction using immediate loading
and interim prosthesis are discussed. This workshop emphasizes
diagnostically driven immediate implant placement and loading
in compromised bone site with interim prosthesis. Problems that
arise during treatment are also given consideration including
laboratory technology.
