grand central Playing For Change is a worldwide phenomenon that grew from the talent of one street performer to more than 100 musicians on five continents. Playing For Change started when music producer Mark Johnson heard street musician Roger Ridley playing and singing “Stand by Me” in Santa Monica, California. A second recording followed, Bob Marley’s irresistible “One Love” , and now a touring band has been formed to bring the transformational music of Playing For Change to audiences at venues across the U.S. and Canada in October and November .
