Let the games begin!
Athletes age 50+ compete in 2013 National senior Games

housands of athletes and tens of thousands of
spectators from around the United States are
gathering in Cleveland, Ohio, July 19 through
August 1, for the 14th Summer National Senior Games.
The Games, a 19-sport, biennial athletic competition
for men and women over 50 years, is the largest multisport event for seniors in the world. Events include
basketball, volleyball, track and field, golf, tennis,
cycling, swimming, triathlon, and more.
The Games are hosted by the National Senior
Games Association, a nonprofit organization founded
in 1985 and comprised of member organizations that
conduct state or national sport competitions throughout
the year. Recognized by the US Olympic Committee
and sponsored by Humana Inc., NSGA is dedicated
to motivating older adults to live healthy and active
lifestyles through education, fitness, and sports.
