Days for Girls
Join UMW for a hands-on mission workday
completing hygiene kits for girls and women
around the world. We will work on Saturday,
April 22 from 10am-3pm. Lunch, snacks, and
childcare will be provided. Just bring scissors,
pencils and your desire to improve the lives of
women and girls around the world. You are
encouraged to join us even if you can only stay for
a short time. We would also love to have older
girls help with this project. For more information

The event will feature entertainment by a highly
respected Barbershop Quartet from the Red Rose
Chorus. Their motto is "Keeping the whole world
singing" and you can be sure that their music will
bring back wonderful memories of times together
with family and friends in song. Senior Tea
guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy
appetizers and snacks.
All are welcome to attend, though this event is
especially planned for Grandview members and
friends over 70 years of age! We are looking for
food preparers, servers - about 8 - and others to
assist with set up before and after the event.

Undie Sunday: On April 30,
everyone is encouraged to bring new
packages of underwear for adults
and children. Most needed sizes are
small for men, small (5,6,&7) for
women, and larger sizes for both
boys and girls.
Optimist Dinner: The Optimist
Club dinner fundraiser will be
held on May 2. Kathleen Smith
heads this effort and she will be
looking for volunteers during the
month of April. This dinner has
been a church-wide effort for
over 25 years.
Mission u: Mission u 2017
will be held July 21-22 at The
Inn at Reading. A
Geographic Study, an Issue
Study and a Spiritual Growth
Study will be offered.
