The BCCVB is a private, nonprofit organization that is membership-driven, meaning that we promote and support our members only. Maryland has been referred to as “America in Miniature,” and Baltimore County can be described as “Maryland in Miniature,” with over 175 miles of shoreline to the east, mountainous hills to the north, and cities and towns ranging from thriving mini-metropolises to sleepy communities that boast the charm of yesteryear. Major destinations are just a short drive away, from Baltimore City and the Inner Harbor to Washington, DC, and Philadelphia. Baltimore County is easily accessible whether traveling by car, train, or plane. Major access routes include I-95 from the north or south, I-70 from the west, and I-83 also from the north. I-695, the Baltimore Beltway, runs throughout Baltimore County. Baltimore County offers accommodations ranging from quaint and elegant bed & breakfasts to moderately priced hotels and motels to convention-size, graciously appointed properties. Our attractions range from historic homes and museums to Thoroughbred farms, theaters, and collegiate sports. If shopping is your bag, we have it in abundance, from unique boutiques and antiques shops to major malls and thrift stores. Our restaurants come in a variety of styles, too, from family-friendly to elegant haute cuisine; from whimsical (with a menu to match) to unique in style and substance. In Baltimore County, we hope to keep you entertained, well fed, and rested. Not to mention that we are the official home of the Maryland State Fair! Richard Lippenholz Thank you for your interest in Baltimore County, Maryland. We look forward to welcoming you upon your next visit! Craig Peddicord, Executive Director
