If so, then head 25 minutes southwest of Minneapolis-Saint Paul to Valleyfair, the Midwest’s largest amusement park. Open since 1976, Valleyfair is home to more than 75 rides and attractions on 90 acres of land. The newest addition to the park is Renegade Outlaw Coaster, which opened in May. This Wild West-themed wooden rollercoaster takes guests on a 3,113-foot-long ride going up to 52-miles-per-hour with 19 turns along the way. To make a day of it, jump on other coasters like the high-speed Excalibur and the classic High Roller, or check out more family-friendly options like the Flying Trapeze and Frog Hopper. The park is open through September and transforms into ValleySCARE in October for a host of Halloween-themed activities. 1 Valleyfair Drive, Shakopee, 800-FUNRIDE, www.valleyfair.com Fall/Winter 2008 Minneapolis&Saint Paul 21 http://www.valleyfair.com http://www.valleyfair.com
