Doug created a program that uses this profile to calculate the exact flute form, which he can then duplicate in the grinding wheel. Servicing rolls from all over North America Every roll is different (even the “twins” in a set have differences). Flute profiles vary. The linear profiles vary and may even be wrong if serviced incorrectly. Different rolls sag differently. Some users send in rolls for rework as soon as the coating is worn, others wait until the flute has been destroyed. Coatings vary.
