Grinding Journal - Summer 2007 - (Page 14) Helitronic Vision machines move on rails between specialized assembly stations - High volume, high quality, and high efficiency Walter consolidating production Going to Fanuc control (pictured to the right) The Fanuc 310i will run Walter Windows Mode (WWM) and Tool Studio software. The majority of new CNC machines worldwide use Fanuc controls, giving customers another source of readily available support. W 1 alter is consolidating all machine production worldwide in their modern factory in the Czech Republic. Beginning in August 2007, Walter Grinders in Fredericksburg (United Grinding Virginia) will receive completed machines, not castings for final assembly. That’s good news, because the Czech plant offers: • State-of-the-art machine tool construction processes • An assembly line with highly skilled and specialized technicians at each stage • Quality control throughout production and machine run-off using ISO 9000 procedures • Efficient, automated parts handling • The consistently high quality that only comes from combining these factors with high volume A number of the Helitronic Vision machines shipped in North America during 2006 were built in the Czech plant and customized in Fredericksburg. So the concept has been proven. Grinding Journal
