Set Screws Socket Screws Socket Screws, Threaded Rod & Studs Screws Screws & Anchors Anchors (1) Wallboard Stud Assemblies are fast and easy to use. These self-drilling assemblies require only the proper size hex key driver and a drill/driver. (2) Carefully determine and mark the locations for the anchors and install them as shown here. The head of the anchor should sit flush with the wallboard surface when the installation is correct. (3) Attach the StandOff Systems parts for your application and you’re done! These anchors are not intended as heavy load-bearing fasteners. For applications requiring more load capacity with wallboard, toggle type anchors or expansion anchors (below), are recommended. Wood Mount Hanger Screws Pg. 169 (1) Locate the center of a wall-stud in the wall. Mark the location where the Wood Mount Hanger Screws will be located. Pre-drill the proper size hole for the Hanger Screw size to be used according to the chart on Pg. 169. (2) Use the proper driver, HD-WSD1 or HD-WSD2, to drive the Wall Mount Hanger Screws into the wall-stud. Candle wax or bar soap scraped onto the wood screw threads and the mounting threads will help in driving the Hanger Screws into the stud and in driver removal. This is especially helpful if you are driving with hand tools. (3) Make sure to leave as much thread exposed as you need for your parts. It is difficult to back the Wood Mount Hanger Screws out if you run them in too deep. Mount the StandOff Systems parts and you’re done. The top photo shows how the Anchor Tool grips the Anchor by the screwhead to compress it. (2) Carefully determine and mark the locations for the anchors and install them as shown here. The head of the anchor should sit flush with the wallboard surface when the installation is correct. (3) Attach the appropriate StandOff Systems part needed for your design and you’re done! These anchors do not provide a mounting stud but use a 10-24 machine screw for mounting your parts. Self-Drilling Toggle Anchors Pg. 171 (1) Self-Drilling Toggle Anchors HD-ASTB, ASTBA & TA all install the same way. Measure and mark the locations for the anchors. Using a Phillips Bit, self-drill the anchors into position. NOTE: These anchors are not intended for wood or other dense materials. (2) Insert the Flat Washer Head Screw with your system part or, the Combination Screw (shown), in the toggle and tighten. As it’s tightened, the toggle lever automatically flips open to become a nut inside the wall. (3) When fully tightened, the Combination Screw provides a 5/16-18 mounting stud. If a Flat Washer Head screw is used, the StandoffSystems parts you are attaching will be secured at the same time the screw is tightened. 182 HD Drill Bits & Taps How To Hanger Screws Toggle Anchor How To Wallboard Anchors How To Concrete Anchor How To Toggle Anchors & T-Nuts How To Nut Inserts Wood or Metal Self-Drilling Wallboard Anchors Pg. 171 (1) Self-Drilling Wallboard Anchors all install the same way.
