How much time do I need to allow for embarking and disembarking? For arrivals and departures in all ports of (dis)embarkation, it is recommended that those guests not purchasing Holland America’s Fly Cruise and Tour Plan allow adequate time for transfer between the airport and pier, customs inspections and airport security checks as noted below. Po rt C I ty A r r I vA l De PA rt ure When may I embark the ship? The ms Veendam, ms Volendam, ms Zuiderdam, ms Statendam and ms Ryndam depart Vancouver, B. C., at Canada Place, located at the foot of Burrard Street, at 5:00pm. Embarkation commences at noon. Guests are required to be on board at least one hour prior to sailing time. For guests sailing on the ms Statendam, ms Ryndam or ms Veendam from/ to Seward, transfer service between Anchorage and Seward is available at a rate of us$72 per person. Guests may check in at the Egan Convention Center at 555 W. 5th Avenue in Anchorage on day of sailing between 8:00am and noon. The ms Amsterdam, ms Westerdam and ms Zaandam depart from Terminal 91, Seattle at 4:00pm. Embarkation commences at 11:30am. Guests are required to be on board one hour prior to sailing time. How can I host a bon voyage party? For security reasons, Holland America Line has implemented a “no visitors” policy and regrets any disappointment this may cause. However, family and friends wishing you bon voyage may send a gift directly to your stateroom by calling Ship Services at 1-800-541-1576. You may host a party for fellow cruise guests, ordering champagne, canapés and cocktail set-ups delivered to your stateroom beforehand via your travel professional or by calling Onboard Event Services at 1-877-885-4259. Anchorage Vancouver Seattle 5 hours 3 hours 3 hours 5 hours 3 hours 3½ hours Cost of Anchorage, Vancouver or Seattle overnight, due to airline schedules, is at guests’ expense. How do I obtain airport transfers if I don’t participate in your Fly Cruise Plan? To provide Anchorage or Fairbanks airport transfers for cruisetour guests not participating in our Fly Cruise Plan, our Seattle office MUST be advised of their arriving or departing airline and flight numbers: fax 1-800-628-4855 at least 14 days prior to departure. Transfers operate from airport to hotel from 10:00am to 10:00pm. How do I make Dining room reservations? Holland America Line’s As You Wish™ dining program is all about flexibility and freedom. Whether you prefer a five-course dinner in the main Dining Room, a quick casual bite in the Lido before a show, or an intimate evening in our Pinnacle Grill, the choice is yours each day. For reservations in the main Dining Room, you may indicate at booking whether you would prefer a traditional pre-set seating and dining time or the freedom each day to choose the time that suits you. Guests who opt for the latter may make reservations daily during their cruise up to 4:00pm, or simply arrive in the Dining Room any time during dining hours, for accommodation by the Dining Room Manager.
