Getting Around Seattle

Local Public Transit

An easy way to get to and from Seattle’s airport (Sea-Tac) is via light rail service. Operated by Sound Transit, the Link Light Rail route connects the airport and downtown Seattle. The SeaTac/Airport Station can be accessed on the fourth floor of the airport’s parking garage.

Once you have arrived in Seattle, light rail and King County Metro bus service are options for moving around the city.

SuperShuttle

Another cost-effective option is sharedride van service providing transportation to and from the Seattle airport via SuperShuttle.

Local Taxi Cab Service

Taxis for hire can be found in the Seattle airport (Sea-Tac) on the third floor of the parking garage. Taxis can also be hired through the numbers below.

OnCabs Seattle – (206) 866-2300

Seattle Airport Taxi – (206) 673-2226

App-based Rideshare Services
(Lyft, Uber, Wingz)

The airport allows ride-share services like Lyft, Uber, and Wingz to pick up passengers on the third floor of the parking garage. Follow the signs to the TNC/Rideshare (Lyft, Uber, Wingz) pick up area, located just beyond the taxi line in Sections G, H, I and J. Ride-share drivers are allowed to drop off passengers curb-side on the “Departures” level for flights out of the airport.

(To reach their hotels from the train station, travelers will likely need to rely on a taxi, which can be found outside the station, or Link Light Rail from the International District/Chinatown station). Enjoy traveling to Seattle by the Coast Starlight from Los Angeles, the Empire Builder from Chicago or the Amtrak Cascades with routes from Eugene, OR and Vancouver, BC.
