Taking Stock f you’ve been in the industry for a while, you know that housing slumps happen, the market returns, and things go back to business as usual. Industry veterans who have seen a few downturns say things will be different this time. When the market recovers, they say, houses will be smaller and better—or they better be. The products and features you put in your houses better be practical as well as cool or you might lose the sale. No better place to learn about such things than at the 2009 International Builders’ Show taking place this month in Las Vegas. Consider it onestop shopping for product research.
