projects hotel henriette très chic A former magazine stylist makes over a Paris property By JOANN GRECO Photography by HERVÉ GOLUZA and JULIE ANSIAU A few steps from one of Paris' most tempting streets-the foodie haven of Rue Mouffetard-a former fashion magazine stylist-turned-interior designer and hotel owner has taken hold of an unprepossessing property and turned it upside down. In transforming the Hotel Les Gobelins into the Hotel Henriette Rive Gauche, Vanessa Scoffier of Les Nouveaux Decorateurs kept things as economical as possible (both for herself and for guests), peppering the spaces with vintage furnishings sourced from local flea markets, and judiciously using inexpensive materials and DIY strategies for a cheery, almost feminine feel throughout. 1. Rich blue hues, elliptical 1950s Italian pendant lights, and a wallcovering featuring tropical plants mark a sitting area in Hotel Henriette's streetside lobby.
