Accent lighting creates interesting shadows in the stone mortar joints to provide texture across the surface. 2: The building is framed by glass towers extending above the roof line where they're capped with exposed structural hollow steel grid work. The grid work extends visually through the exterior wall and over the stair and landings. The stair mass is emphasized by floating the fascia and roof overhang above the building. 3: The outdoor space and approach to the building incorporate soft lighting under the canopy and along the drive. Lighting under the canopy diffuses across the curved soffit. Internal building lighting exposes the skeleton frame of the building's circulation and active areas. 4: The curves of the floor patterns and ceiling design lead the visitors to the reception desk. 5: Glass windows with etched glass accents reflect the rolling hills and mountains of the region and provide privacy at each registration area near the reception desk.http://www.HCDmagazine.com
