Vollis Simpson

Evoke Architectural Wall

A unique collaboration between Mayer
Fabrics and Sunbrella Contract celebrating the
remarkable metal sculpture artwork by the late
folk artist, Vollis Simpson. The collection, featuring
six individual patterns, depicts aspects of the
metal sculptures known as Whirligigs, bringing
these one-of-a-kind scrap metal sculptures to
reality through textile design. These inspired
designs are well suited for all commercial
markets and also available with a moisture
barrier. The textiles are Milled in America.

Suspended Leaf Objects
The installation "Suspended Leaf Objects"
is designed for atriums and lobbies, and is
particularly appropriate for healthcare settings.
Original artwork is printed directly to folded
acrylic shapes. These are suspended on
strands of thin cable attached to an aluminum
frame - which can be lowered and raised for
cleaning. The LYNNEL artwork has been color
modified to play with the effects of light and
shadows through the large atrium windows.

Evoke Wall is rendering traditional drywall
virtually obsolete. Evoke is a solid wall
solution incorporating the elements of drywall
with advancements in unitized construction
technology. It installs faster and easier than
drywall and traditional movable wall systems.
It quickly reconfigures with less waste-giving
users an unprecedented level of control. Evoke
has a seamless aesthetic, featuring 1/16"
reveals between panels. Evoke can be painted,
wrapped or printed.
