The project includes the new 550-seat Mainstage courtyard-proscenium theatre, 150-seat Centerstage flexible studio space, 50-foot by 65-foot dance rehearsal space with glass curtain walls on three sides to bring in natural light and capture the scenic view of the Berkshires, and a renovation of the Adams Memorial Theater into a 220-seat thrust stage. The Centerstage studio theatre, in particular, caught the attention of the jury with its unique architecture that "causes the company to respond to it." 24 THEATRE DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY SPRING 2006
