Lighting control is accomplished with 336 ETC Sensor dimmers powering 286 20-amp and 2 50-amp performance lighting circuits and 13 20-amp house light dimmers. Thirtyseven ETCNet Ethernet taps are distributed throughout the facility and the console is an ETC Expression with Emphasis and 3-D visualization software. There is also a full complement of theatrical fixtures to provide a base package for productions. The 290-square-foot pit lift has a lift load of 14,500 pounds traveling at 4′-0″ per minute, stopping at four levels. Acoustical reverberance in this room can be manually adjusted to suite the performance by shifting glass-fiber panels at the catwalk level. NESBITT/ELLIOTT PLAYHOUSE THEATER NESBITT/ELLIOTT PLAYHOUSE THEATER The home of the resident performance group "Stageworks at Mesa Arts Center," this 200-seat proscenium space is used primarily for drama, musical theater, children's theater, and lectures. The 30-foot-wide by 18-foot-high proscenium is flexible to allow for scenic elements to extend into the audience area. The 51-foot fly tower has 37 counterweight linesets with 44′-0″ battens using 5 lift lines each. The fly gallery is 23′-0″ above the stage floor and the loading side gallery is 42′-6″ above the stage floor. The grid allows for spot rigging anywhere above the stage floor. In this space as in the others, full drapes are available, as are catwalks to access FOH rigging and lighting positions. Two ETC Sensor racks support 180 20-amp circuits and 1 50-amp circuit for performance lighting with 8 20-amp house light dimmers. Twenty-three ETCNet taps are distributed throughout the space and control is by an ETC Expression with Emphasis with the 3-D visualization software.
