Theoretical design project by BFA student Dina Perez, University of South Florida. Dina chose to respond to a selection from Mozart's Requiem, "Lacrimosa." She explains: "The music is round and full, it conjures a highly melancholic yearning or sadness. I see this world as an aqueous environment, haunted by tragic but beautiful phantoms, stirring slowly with broad circular agitations that emulate the rise and fall of the musical crescendos. Suffocated by darkness, the creatures glow with the bioluminescence of their own gloom." Above, first color responses to music. Opposite and right, development of figures and form.
