Tom Tutino scenery Oliver I wanted to capture the sense of nineteenth-century London's urban chaos in a unit set that could serve all the scenes with minimal shifting of props and scenery. I also wanted to take full scenic advantage of the large proscenium and deep stage of the Iroquois Amphitheatre but still keep the action focused and as close to the audience as possible. Tom Tutino is associate professor of theater at Western Kentucky University. He teaches set design and stagecraft, manages theater production classes, and serves as technical director of Western's main stage productions. He also works as scenic designer for the Public Theatre of Kentucky in Bowling Green and for theater companies throughout Kentucky-such as Stage One in Louisville-and the eastern United States.
