Portfolio - Fall/Winter 2007 - (Page Cover2) Dear Friends, There is something about the Fall season that traditionally brings one’s heart back to the subject of home. Perhaps it’s the kids going back to school, the leaves starting to change color or just the cooler weather that takes us back inside. For whatever reason, the fall is one of the best times of the year to sell or purchase a new home. Our market in the Capital Region and the Virginia Countryside continues to be robust, with sales activity exceeding last years’ unprecedented records. At this writing, Washington Fine Properties’ sales over $1 Million have increased by 18% over last year with Armfield Miller & Ripley Fine Properties sales over $1 Million double that of 2006. It just shows that there is a good market in any market, and we are committed to delivering it to you! It is said that in times of caution there is a flight to quality. We attribute our success to the quality of our outstanding agents, who are the experts in the areas where they live and work. In a cautionary market, both buyers and sellers alike, particularly in the upper price ranges, put themselves in the hands of a true professional. The investment you make in your home is a large one, and you should feel comfortable knowing our professional agents can help you achieve your goals. You may have noticed that our presence continues to grow as we strengthen our expertise in the Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Potomac Maryland markets, as well as in The Plains, Virginia. As the large conglomerate companies continue to expand through acquisitions to gain market share, we are proud to remain a carriage trade real estate firm and over the summer, welcomed several top producing, highly respected agents to our company. We remain committed in differentiating ourselves by providing clients with the local expertise and specialized services they have always trusted and enjoyed. We have several other initiatives underway that we look forward to sharing with you soon. As you turn the pages of our Fall Portfolio, you will see the finest offerings available in the wonderful neighborhoods of the Capital Region and the Virginia Countryside. When you see something you like, grab your sweater, bundle up, and let one of our agents bring “you” inside what may be your next home. Sincerely, Thomas B. Anderson President Dana E.
