Changes to IANA Bylaws Proposed At its May meeting, the board of directors of the Intermodal Association of North America considered amendments to the association's bylaws. The suggested changes focus on the standing committee processes (Article VI, Section 2) and would empower the IANA board of directors to appoint the members of the Intermodal Interchange Executive Committee. The IIEC is a nine-member group consisting of modal representatives [motor, ocean and rail] that is responsible for the administration and interpretation of the Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement. Revisions would also provide consistency across IANA's standing committees with regard to quorums, meetings and committee actions. These amendments have been posted to the "members only" section of the IANA website for member review. A 30-day comment period will open as of July 2, 2015. Comments and questions should be sent no later than August 2, 2015 to iana@intermodal.org or via fax at 301-576-9384.
