A particulate matter sensor has been implemented, and electronic controls have been enhanced to interact with the diesel exhaust fluid quality sensor implemented by original equipment manufacturers on DEF tanks. Port News Logistics Center Bids Open at Port Everglades Port Everglades issued a request for information from companies interested in developing, financing and managing a regional logistics center on approximately 16.7 acres of land on the port. The new logistics center will replace a Foreign-Trade Zone warehouse facility on the port. The proposed facility will offer value-added services such as consolidating and stripping containers, de-palletizing, packaging, distribution, transloading, labeling and sorting cargo. It will also handle fumigation and provide cold storage of perishables. The RFI is seeking input from third-party logistics companies and developers about public-private partnership opportunities, according to the port. Following the RFI process, the information will be incorporated into a request for proposals. In 2010, Ports America Chesapeake assumed operational control of the next door Seagirt Marine Terminal through a public-private partnership and began an aggressive $500 million investment program.
