Topping the percentage breakdown among the beverage categories of visitors who attended in 2005, 33 percent were from the brewing industry and 27 percent were in soft drinks, water and fruit juices. The milk and liquid milk products area represented 7 percent of the total visitors. Another 6 percent came from the wine and spirits sector. Of the remaining visitors, 4 percent were in beverage retail, 6 percent in the services sector and advertising and 3 percent were employees of colleges, universities and government bodies. 6. drinktec is where the beverage world’s decisionmakers meet As a contact and transaction-oriented working exhibit, drinktec is a platform for new markets and future customers. In 2005, 95 percent of the visitors approved of the scope and completeness of exhibits, with all the key suppliers available at the 6-day event to talk to producers and retailers of beverages. Employees from every management level attend drinktec, from CEOs to operations managers.
