Executive Housekeeping Today - April 2008 - (Page 17) Director-At-Large Debra M. Archbald, C.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 1996, and became certified (C.E.H.) in 2001. She is currently the Assistant Director of Housekeeping at The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, Florida. She attended the University of the West Indies; the Trinidad & Tobago Hotel School; and holds certificates in Economics and Commerce from the University of London and Cambridge, respectively. Archbald has held the position of President of the Maingate Chapter and is currently the District Director of the Florida International District. Archbald is seeking election as a Director-At-Large because she wants to aid and support our Association in attaining its set goals for education and membership, and strives to raise public awareness and knowledge about our ever-evolving industry standards. Thomas J. A. Jones, Ed.D., R.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 2001, and became registered (R.E.H.) in 2004. Jones is currently an associate professor in the Department of Hotel Management at the W.F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South Dakota; a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and a Doctor of Education from Arizona State University. He currently holds the position as President of the Las Vegas Chapter. Jones is seeking election as a Director-At-Large because he wants to give back to the hospitality and cleaning industries for giving him so many excellent experiences throughout his career. Michael E. Patterson, R.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 1988, became certified (C.E.H.) in 1991, and registered (R.E.H.) in 1994. He is currently the Vice President of Administration at Circle Family HealthCare in Chicago, IL. In 2004, he received a degree in Management and Business Administration from Wright Junior College and a degree in Management and Human Resources Management from Chicago State University. He served as Chicago Chapter President from 2005-07, and currently holds the position as the Upper Midwest District Secretary/Treasurer. Patterson is seeking election to the office of Director-At-Large because he is committed to I.E.H.A.’s mission and would like to help improve the Association and growth of our Chapters. Anna Rodriguez, R.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 1978, became certified (C.E.H.) in 1983, and registered (R.E.H.) in 1989. She is currently the Director of Environmental Services at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX. In 2001, she received a B.A. from the University of Texas—Brownsville. Rodriguez is a member of the River City Chapter, currently holds the position of Assistant District Director of the SouthWest District, and served as the I.E.H.A. Association President from 1998-2000. Rodriguez is seeking election for the Director-At-Large position because she wants to share the knowledge and wisdom she has gained throughout her many years of service to the Association and would like to be part of our Association’s continued progressive evolutionary process into the future. Diana Ronning, C.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 1994, and became certified (C.E.H.) in 2001. She is currently the Director of Environmental Services at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. She is a member of the Puget Sound Chapter and currently holds the position as District Director of the Pacific Northwest District. In the past, she has also held the position of Education Committee CoChair, Education Foundation Co-Chair, and has been the Puget Sound Chapter’s Secretary, Vice President, and President. Ronning is seeking election for a Director-At-Large position because she would like to be part of a dynamic team that she believes will take our Association to the highest level of excellence. Edward A. Vizvarie, R.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 1993, became certified (C.E.H.) in 2001, and registered (R.E.H.) in 2007. He is currently the Director of Facilities at Howard Center in Burlington, VT. In 2001, he received an Associate’s degree from the Community College of Vermont with a concentration in Business Management. He is a member of the VertMont Chapter and served as the Chapter’s President in 2003-07. Vizvarie is seeking election for a Director-At-Large position because he would like to help the Association usher into the next era. He views Chapters as the backbone of our Association and wants to support them and strengthen them as a Director. Janet Wiggins, C.E.H., joined I.E.H.A. in 1995, and became certified (C.E.H.) in 1996. She is currently the Environmental Services Supervisor at Villa de San Antonio in San Antonio, TX. She received degrees from Kilgore Jr. College in 1990, and Tarrant Co. Jr. College in 1993. She is a member of the River City Chapter and currently holds the position of Treasurer for the SouthWest District. She also held the position as District Director for the SouthWest District during 2001-05. Wiggins is seeking election for a Director-At-Large position because she would like to help lead our Association into the future by helping to implement all the new and exciting innovations that are being introduced.
