The Proof is in the Third-Party Testing When comparing microfiber, require your supplier to provide you with third-party documentation that proves not only their product is split, but that it removes bacteria and viruses. If the supplier cannot provide this extremely important third-party data, they probably do not have high-quality microfiber. The Green Benefits of Microfiber Microfiber is a much Greener cleaning method than traditional terry cloth rags or cotton string mops. It not only lasts over six times longer than cotton cloths or mops, but also reduces chemical usage by as much as 95 percent. These are the obvious environmental benefits of using microfiber products. Microfiber also plays into social equity by allowing a larger group of people to use the products due to its lighter weight and more ergonomic design as compared to traditional cleaning methods. Finally, due to the ability of microfiber to remove bacteria when used with just water or a neutral cleaner, users are exposed to less dangerous and toxic chemicals. Microfiber is the optimum choice for any user who wants to not only clean better, but also clean Greener and healthier. It is essential, however, to use only microfiber products from suppliers that can prove the effectiveness of their products. If you choose a microfiber supplier that can produce third-party documentation, provide a complete cleaning system, and the needed training, you will experience improved cleaning performance and greater productivity, while reducing the use of chemicals and the amount of waste going into the landfill. And more immediately, you will have created a safer and healthier environment for your staff and customers. Mark Hoyle is the senior product manager for the Microfiber Cleaning Group, and has been instrumental in the development and marketing of innovative microfiber cleaning products.
