Executive Housekeeping Today- August 2008 - (Page 16) Convention Highlights Registration will be open at the Riviera Hotel West Desk on Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Riviera Hotel, on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on Thursday at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Free bussing will be provided to take you back and forth from the Riviera Hotel and the Las Vegas Convention Center each day for those registrants who reserved their room through the I.E.H.A. block at the Riviera and have the special sticker on their badge. Upon your arrival in Las Vegas, there are a couple of ways that you can travel from the airport to the Riviera Hotel—you can take a taxi for approximately $15, or take an airport shuttle for the cost of $18 round trip. Just be sure to tell the shuttle bus driver that your final destination is the Riviera! This special educational session, presented by Ronna Timpa, will provide training so that your facility can hold ESL (English as a Second Language) classes in-house for your employees. This session will occur Monday, September 8, at 8:00 a.m. at the Riviera Hotel in the Grande Ballroom, rooms G-H (please note that this event was originally scheduled to occur at the Convention Center, but it will now occur at the Riviera). Bussing to the Las Vegas Convention Center will be provided after the session so that registrants will be able to attend the FSP Networking Luncheon at noon. This event will occur 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 8, at the Riviera Hotel in the Grande Ballroom, rooms B-D, and will include dinner, as well as exclusive prizes. This I.E.H.A. member-only event will occur Tuesday, September 9, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the Riviera Hotel in the Grande Ballroom, rooms F-H. This special session will include the installation ceremony of the new I.E.H.A. Board members (President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, and the six new Directors-at-Large). This event will occur Wednesday, September 10, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the the Barron Room at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel, and will feature Bill Cosby as the keynote speaker (please note that this event was originally scheduled to occur at the Convention Center, but it will now occur at the Las Vegas Hilton). This special event, presented by the Las Vegas Chapter, will occur Wednesday, September 10, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the trade show floor of the Las Vegas Convention Center, near the I.E.H.A. booth. This event will be fun and exciting—so make sure to stop by and check it out! This testing will occur Wednesday, September 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center in room N232 for those members who have registered. This semi-formal affair, which will be held from 8:30 to 11:00 p.m. at the Penthouse Level of the Monaco Tower at the Riviera Hotel, will feature special entertainment and coffees, chocolates, and 6 Executive Housekeeping Today/Convention Program 2008 desserts.
