Executive Housekeeping Today- August 2008 - (Page 8) General Information I.E.H.A. will handle telephone calls at the registration area for emergency messages. Should we receive an emergency phone call for you, we will make every effort to locate you during the Convention. Should an emergency occur onsite, please look for the closest phone and dial “0.” The operator will be able to direct the call to the proper authorities. I.E.H.A. has no control over beverage consumption at meetings in hotels and places with such facilities. However, we would like to be as helpful as possible to those who attend our meetings. Therefore, if anyone attending this meeting feels that he or she may have some difficulty in getting back to their hotel room, please ask a hotel employee or I.E.H.A. staff member for assistance. Transportation, lodging, and other arrangements will be made to help render this service. Messages/Emergencies Special Note on Beverages Convention attendees can receive Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from I.E.H.A. when they attend educational seminars. One CEU is equivalent to 0.1 hours of participation in educational seminars. Attendance to these educational seminars can only be verified by printing out CEU certificates at the ISSA kiosk located within the Las Vegas Convention Center. Please ensure that you print out your certificates prior to the close of Convention in order to receive credit. Please obtain your CEU certificates until it comes to your CEH or REH renewal time. Free bussing will be provided to take you back and forth from the Riviera Hotel and the Las Vegas Convention Center each day for those registrants who reserved their room through the I.E.H.A. block at the Riviera and have the special sticker on their badge. If you have reserved a room outside the I.E.H.A. block, bussing will cost $25 for the week. Please note that candid and specific photos will be taken during each event for posterity. Please refrain from taking photos or video taping speakers during their presentations. I.E.H.A. does not permit this, as it is a distraction to the speaker, nor does I.E.H.A. have permission from all speakers to video tape/record their presentations. Please be courteous and aware of other people’s feelings. We also graciously request that all cell phones and beepers be turned off during all presentations. Video or photography of exhibitor booths is not allowed. Continuing Education Credits We are offering a relaxed educational environment and suggest that you dress in business casual attire. Please use your best judgment; refrain from wearing jeans, shorts, etc., unless otherwise stated. In addition, we are requesting that attendees wear formal attire during our Evening of Elegance function on Wednesday evening.
