Joyner, an IEHA member who truly exemplified the word “achievement.” During Perera’s speech upon receiving her Honorary Member award, she stated, “Our teams in housekeeping and facilities management are the HEARTS of our organizations. We are its lifeblood touching every area of their operation. Just like our hearts, we do not give it any recognition until something goes wrong.” IEHA also distributed several booth awards to vendors that demonstrated exemplary booth design during the trade show in honor of Roy B. Young, deceased pastpresident of IEHA. The first-place recipient for Best Booth went to Spartan Chemical Company, the second-place recipient for Most Creative Booth was given to EnvirOx, and the third-place recipient for Most Industry Focused Booth went to the Dial Corporation, and Workplace ESL Solutions was an honorable mention recipient. We would like to note that we IEHA would like to thank all the members who helped work inside the IEHA booth at the Convention Center and for all the members who stopped by to say “Hi!” did experience some bussing issues to the Convention Center on Tuesday, due to our bus drivers being pulled to assist in the evacuation efforts for Hurricane Ike in Texas; however, the company was able to replace our drivers as quickly as possible in order to get the busses back on schedule. Thank you for understanding! In closing, we would like to thank all of our sponsors, including the Dial Corporation, Hoover, Kaivac, Royce Rolls Ringer Company, Spartan Chemical Company, Tecni-Quip, VF Imagewear, Inc., With basketball and football throwing contests located in between booths, business was definitely not as usual on the trade show floor of ISSA/ INTERCLEAN this year. Wexford Labs, and the Mountain Laurel Chapter of IEHA, for helping make our 42nd Educational Conference and Convention a huge success! We would also like to thank all the members who helped work inside the IEHA booth at the Convention Center and for all the members who stopped by to say “Hi!” Also, we cannot forget the members of the Las Vegas Chapter for being excellent hosts!
