Executive Housekeeping Today - February 2009 - (Page 12) exeCutive CoRneR (continued from page 2) “Before the ICM Symposium, we had recently purchased an ATP device, but really did not know what we were measuring or how to properly use it. The information presented was very useful,” says Patrick Fragomeni, Regional Manager for Janitronics and 1st ICM event attendee. “Since the ICM event, we have been using our ATP device on a daily basis. So much that we have gone through two cases of swabs and just ordered more! We are collecting data in an office environment, surgical suite, and school; and at the present time, we are setting benchmarks and determining the rates of resoiling under various conditions. The ATP device has allowed me to better understand that measurement is the only definitive way to indicate that a surface is clean. We are also better positioned to sell services predicated on science-based methods, rather than aesthetics.” Listed to the right is the tentative schedule for the event in Las Vegas. To register for the Symposium, please call the IEHA Association Office at (800) 2006342, or visit www.ieha.org/reg_1ICM. To reserve your room at the Riviera Hotel & Casino, please call (702) 734-5110 and mention “ICM Event” in order to receive the special $114 per night room rate. If you have any questions about this event, please feel free to contact myself at (800) 200-6342, or brisinger@ieha.org; or contact Allen Rathey at (208) 938-3137, or allen@housekeepingchannel.com.
