Executive Housekeeping Today - March 2009 - (Page 20) The 43rd Annual Educational Conference and Convention of the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA) will be held October 4-9, 2009, at the McCormick Place Convention Center and the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza Hotel, in Chicago, IL, in conjunction with ISSA/INTERCLEAN®—North America. Registration will be open at the Chicago Mart Plaza on Sunday for registrants attending IEHA’s Integrated Cleaning and Measurement™ (ICM™) Symposium only. On Sunday evening, a special reception will be held for all ICM registrants, vendors, and speakers. On Monday, October 5, general registration will be open in the Edgewater Room of the Chicago Mart Plaza. Also, on this date, the ICM Symposium will begin at 8 a.m. in the Wolfpoint room of the hotel. Registration will also be open Tuesday at both the hotel and the Convention Center. IEHA is offering the opportunity to attend an all-new IEHA REH/ CEH Boot Camp, where the renowned IEHA Self Study Program of sixteen modules will be taught on both Tuesday and Wednesday by IEHA member Rosita Galera, CEH. General Educational Ses- t IEHA’s 2009 Call to Convention sions will also be offered at the Convention Center on Tuesday, as well as the popular Networking Luncheon. IEHA will hold its New Member Welcome Party (by invitation only) in the Wolfpoint room of the Chicago Mart Plaza on Tuesday evening, which will be immediately followed by the President’s Welcome Party, which is open to all IEHA registrants. On Wednesday, the exhibit hall will open at 10 a.m., while the REH/CEH Boot Camp will continue at the hotel. Thursday morning will feature a famous politician as the ISSA keynote speaker (TBA). This day, all IEHA registrants will wear our sponsored shirts that will be included with the full registration fee. The exhibit hall will be open at 10 a.m., with an educational roundtable luncheon discussion occurring at noon. The IEHA REH/ CEH review and exam will occur at the Convention Center on this day, and the trade show floor happy hour will occur at 4:30 p.m. The Convention will continue on Friday, with a terrific breakfast at the Chicago Mart Plaza for full IEHA registrants at 8 a.m. A special keynote address by Dave Frank will be presented during the breakfast. The exhibit hall will be open from 9 a.m. until noon at the Convention Center, and a special “The Right Price” event will take place at the Convention Center from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with tons of gifts/products to be won by all. In addition, three educational presentations will be made by top industry leaders from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Chicago Mart Plaza. IEHA’s last event will take place at the Chicago Mart Plaza from 7 to 9 pm with food and the business session. The week comes to a close on Friday night, so you can make your plans to fly home early on Saturday morning or stay over and enjoy the wonders of Chicago! Be sure to visit the ISSA kiosk to obtain your CEU certificates for the educational seminars you attend before the exhibit hall closes, and that you complete the proper forms to receive CEU credit for the IEHA seminars. Here is the opportunity to build your skill set and literally return home from an IEHA Convention a changed person! IEHA is offering its first-ever REH/CEH Boot Camp in Chicago, October 6th and 7th. Two intense days of training will give you the opportunity to cover all sixteen modules with the advantage of having an instructor in a classroom setting. Experiencing the Self Study Program live will improve comprehension and retention of material shared. Also, those who feel up to the challenge will have the opportunity to test on-site and will learn their results prior to leaving the Convention. Interested? There are two ways to register: Heavy Weight: Boot Camp students will receive a full set of modules that will be sent to your home or office prior to the event.
