For over 42 years, the rural communities in and around the Sanpete area have been depicting their Mormon Heritage in dramatic form. They tell stories of the restoration of the gospel, re-enact of ancient passages from the Book of Mormon, and share the journey of the faithful pioneers to the beautiful Sanpete Valley. The Mormon Miracle Pageant has the largest attendance of any religious outdoor pageant in the United States, attracting an average of 100,000 visitors every year. The average nightly attendance hovers near 15,000. Since 1967, over 4.4 million visitors have come to see the annual production. Today, the Mormon Miracle Pageant involves over 2,000 volunteers with eight performances spanning over a two week period in June. 14,000 seats are available with additional room on temple grounds for blankets. The Pageant offers handicapped seating and language translations are provided in Sign, Spanish, and ClosedCaption. For best seating, weeknight performances are recommended. This family friendly production is presented by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and will run June 18th - 20th & 23rd - 27th, 2009. Gates open at 6:00 pm. The performance begins each night at 9:30 pm, and lasts approximately 90 minutes. The Pageant is FREE of charge and tickets are not required for admittance. Mormon Miracle Pageant performance dates for 2010 will run June 17th-19th & 22nd-26th.
