Kids can play without limits at Coral Pink Sand Dunes Kids can play in the largest natural sandbox in the West at Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Southern Utah. Coral Pink is like no other place on earth. The coral pink-colored sand is unique to this area and found nowhere else in the United States. One of 42 State Parks in Utah, Coral Pink is home to the ultimate in familyfriendly playgrounds. Enjoy camping, photography, ﬂying kites, hiking, off highway vehicles, or just relax and play in the soft, ﬁne red sand. Families can enjoy two separate and distinct areas of the park. One section is for motorized fun and the other section is reserved for exploration by foot. The boardwalk features a nature trail/ day use area and is off limits to motorized travel. Participate in a first-hand history lesson at Pipe Spring Experiential learning is the cornerstone of Pipe Spring National Monument in Northern Arizona. Kids and families can have a ﬁrst-hand look at the historic activities of Mormon Pioneers and Kaibab Paiute Indians that lived at Pipe Spring. Monument staff host living history demonstrations and invite kids and adults to participate in cheese making, dutch-oven cooking, weaving and other activities that were everyday activities at Pipe Spring. There is also a half-mile hiking trail along the rim above Pipe Spring and is a perfect hike for families. Interpretive signs are located along the trail to provide information about the surroundings. Pipe Spring National Monument is a collaborative effort with the National Park Service and Kaibab Band of Paiute Indians. A museum showcases American Indian and Mormon Pioneer history. The fort was originally built at the request of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to provide cover for the main spring and offer protection from Ute and Navajo raids.
