Welcome to Washington County, land of red rock, bright blue skies and lush green golf courses. With Zion National Park on the east, Snow Canyon State Park on the west, and a whole-lotta golf inbetween, you’ll discover an abundance of majestic scenery and an ample supply of activities for every interest. The St. George area hosts the most dense concentration and variety of outdoor activities in the Country. Climb the sandstone cliffs, bike the red rock trails, blaze an ATV trail through brilliant orange sand dunes or explore the backcountry on horseback. When it comes to golf, you’ll find 12 fabulous courses open for year-round play. The unique, breathtaking vistas, plush fairways, modest green fees, and the close proximity to Las Vegas make St. George the esteemed golf capital of Utah. The St. George area is full of historical, cultural and geologic history, along with some pretty lavish modern attractions including several world-class destination spas. You’ll find outstanding entertainment throughout the area including Broadway style theatre at the Tuacahn amphitheater - an incredible outdoor stage surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs. Zion National Park, is just 45 minutes northeast of St. George. Zion is one of those rare places that neither pictures, nor words can capture. When you enter Zion you will experience a feeling that won’t quite fit inside your camera. The gateway to Zion National Park is the charming town of Springdale. Nestled beneath the towering sandstone peaks of Zion, Springdale is a “must do” kind of place. The town was recently named one of the “Prettiest Small Towns in the U.S.” and offers a range of hotels, motels, bed & breakfast inns, and campgrounds to accommodate any budget. Visitors enjoy browsing through enchanting shops and galleries, and dining in its eclectic cafes. Whether it’s intense adventure or peaceful relaxation, first class accommodations or camping under the stars, fine dining or chuck-wagon dinners, the St. George area truly offers ‘Everything from A to Zion!’ St. George Area Info 800-869-6635 www.utahstgeorge.com Big city ammenities with wide open spaces.
