That’s right It was Filmed in Utah The scenery in Utah may look familiar to a number of kids and parents who visit the Beehive State. Utah has served as the backdrop and set for over 800 movies and TV episodes. High School Musical used East High in Salt Lake City as the set for the very popular movie with kids. High School Musical 2 returned to Utah and ﬁlmed in St. George and Southern Utah locations. High School Musical 3 was also shot in Utah and was and set records at the box ofﬁce. Parents will also recognize some classic ﬁlms that were made in Utah. Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Footloose, Fletch, Planet of the Apes, Outlaw Josey Wales and Maverick were also ﬁlmed in Utah. Utah has also hosted a number of members of cast and crew from TV shows.
