ave you ever felt an urge to take a risk, step out of your comfort zone, and try something new? That’s how I felt in my junior year of high school. Feeling that I had not accomplished anything significant in my life, I was looking for a way to make a difference. I had not been very involved in community service up until that point, so I considered the possibility of going on a service trip. I just didn’t know how to go about joining one. I was researching different service opportunities online when I came across the Habitat for Humanity Learn and Build Experience. This program appealed to me because it offered an opportunity to volunteer with other kids my age, and I would be able to experience another part of the country for two weeks.
