Impressions - April 2015 - (Page 6)

from THE SHOW DIRECTOR Spring Into ISS i t's April again, which means spring has arrived and team sports have begun from coast to coast. Kids across the country are putting the snow behind them and heading outside to play. From baseball to soccer, a variety of sports soon will be in full swing. I'm particularly excited because I'm coaching my daughter Abbey's under-5 soccer team. It doesn't get any better than three-on-three soccer with a bunch of kindergarteners following the soccer ball like a swarm of bees. It's an amazing sight to see. Know what else is cool? Seeing the elements that go into producing finished apparel, like soccer jerseys, on the show floor at our Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS). Most soccer moms and dads don't know the full journey that their kids' jerseys (like the one shown) must undertake to get to their final destination - the playing field. From the raw materials in the mills, to the distributing, designing, numbering and lettering, each sports jersey embarks on a similar path. And we all give back to the industry with every piece of apparel we wear on any sports field each season. The best part of this industry is that there will always be a need for team sports apparel. For example, Abbey will be 6 years old next fall and she will have grown a few more inches. She'll also be playing on a new soccer team. This cycle repeats itself each year and season with every child as they grow and get older. To get educated about what's happening in the industry, join us May 7-9 in beautiful Nashville, Tenn. With more than 18,000 net square feet of products on display, you will find what you are looking for at ISS Nashville. Our staff has done a fantastic job of making ISS your premier decorated apparel destination and our goal is to continue that success. As trends change within our industry, I want to make sure ISS is your one stop for networking opportunities, new products and innovation. So come join us to stay up-to-date on market trends, learn new technologies, gain inspirational ideas and enhance your business productivity. Here is what you can expect at the 2015 ISS Nashville event: * More than 89 exhibitors encompassing more than 18,000 square feet and 16 new exhibitors as of press time * A comprehensive conference program containing 25 seminars throughout the show and three workshops that'll be held May 7 * The opportunity to view the winners of the 2014 Impressions Awards competition, which will be on display at the Impressions booth.
