Dallas Shop Supports
Officers' Families

FOLLOWING THE RECENT tragedy in Dallas where five
police officers were killed and seven wounded, local screenprint shop VersaPrint partnered with InkSoft, Albuquerque,
New Mexico, to support the victims' families.
Using InkSoft's fundraising store program, created to make
raising money for a cause simple and efficient, VersaPrint offered
"Back The Blue" T-shirts through a web store to benefit the
affected Dallas families.
The site raised more than $100,000 for the cause. Shirt sizes
ranged from youth to 4XL. Support from local organizations,
strong social media promotion and an impactful T-shirt design
helped in the fundraiser's success, according to the company.
This news follows other successful InkSoft fundraising
announcements, such as a campaign that raised more
than $34,000 with wristbands, and another that raised
more than $10,000 in two days to support the Indy Public
Safety Foundation.

SUSAN WILLIAMS RITCHIE, 81, of Stow, Ohio, and former owner of Ball and Skein, passed
away on Aug. 28 after a three-year struggle with cancer. Born in Rocky River, Ohio,
Ritchie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arch Ritchie; their children, Kevin
(Amy) Ritchie, Bruce (Ann) Ritchie, Jennifer (Troy) Cox and Barbara (Warren) Bebinger;
their grandchildren; her brother William A. Williams; and her sister Barbara (George)
Thomas. In the late 1980s, Ritchie purchased Ball and Skein, a needle arts boutique
in Hudson, Ohio. During the next 25 years, the business evolved into a successful
retail commercial embroidery business, then into a contract embroidery business, and
ultimately into a national association that supports commercial embroidery business
owners. Ritchie was recognized as one of the most creative and influential leaders in
the field for many years by industry trade publications.
M&R COS., Roselle, Illinois, has announced Peter Walsh as its new vice president of
sales. He previously served in a variety of management roles at TAS Screen-Printing
Machines and Nazdar. "Peter brings a wealth of knowledge in the graphic, industrial
printing and garment decorating industries to his new role at M&R that will benefit our
customers, sales team and distributors," says Rich Hoffman, president and CEO, M&R.
GILDAN ACTIVEWEAR, Montreal, was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability (DJSI) World
Index for the fourth consecutive year. The index represents the top 10% of the largest
2,500 companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index based on long-term economic,
environmental and social criteria. Gildan is the only North American company in the
Textiles, Apparel and Luxury Goods industry group to earn the distinction. For the 12th
consecutive year, the company published its Genuine Responsibility report, a highlight
of which was its strong performance on its 2010-2015 five-year goals. During that
period, Gildan reduced greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 34%; reduced energy use
and water per kilogram of production by 14% and 17%, respectively; and recycled 89% of
its total waste. The company also increased its reliance on renewable energy solutions
and generated 51% of its energy needs through the use of biomass.
