a hidden treasure chest by building
sales efforts with a company uniform or apparel program. It could range from
screen-printed T-shirts for the hospitality
industry to embroidered plackets, dress shirts
and even aprons for offices or restaurants.
Is this a good fit for your shop? For many
decorators, it may be. Most uniform programs
use simple, easy-to-decorate images such as a
company logo. Even better, these designs can
be used for subsequent orders, which ensure
the kind of repeat business that makes any
shop owner happy.
An easy way to take advantage of these
opportunities is to create an online-ordering
platform to make aggregating sales simple.
Most shops build a webpage for customers
to collect orders, as needed.
Let's take a look at what you should consider when making a business plan for this
type of service.

Getting Started
Establish the parameters of how a uniform
order will work. The following are some
considerations:
*	 Define	the	program. Will most orders
be in bulk or for just one consumer?
This affects how you produce the goods
and handle the inventory.
*	 Will	there	be	an	established	minimum	for	ordering? A good example
of this is when your shop keeps certain inventory levels for a company.
When the stock is depleted after order fulfillment, replenishment orders
automatically get triggered.
*	 Is	program	duration	specified? Will
it continue forever or just one year?
This is important when handling inventory for customers, as styles and
logos can change.
*	 What	are	the	actual	items? Think colors, styles, size spreads and availability.
Stipulate what happens if the apparel
chosen is unavailable or discontinued.
Is there an approved alternate SKU?
*	 Sampling. Most programs require
approval on the blanks used. Your customer will want to see how the print or
embroidery looks on the shirt. He also
may need samples to show to his staff.
*	 Bundled	items.	Certain businesses,
