Campaigns & Elections' Politics - February 2008 - (Page 10) From the Editor Politics After Dark n editor’s page like this usually highlights several engaging stories in the current issue. And we do have them this month—from Stephen Marks’ eye-opening account of his “life in the shadows” as an opposition researcher, to Molly Knight Raskin’s analysis of the crucial and elusive Hispanic vote, to Theodora A. Blanchfield’s reassuring report that there is life after defeat on the campaign trail. These stories, along with our regular columns and departments, make for a lively February issue that we think you’ll enjoy. But I also want to extend our celebration of the magazine’s new look one more month by inviting you to turn to page 63 and step inside our redesign party. Friends of the magazine helped us celebrate at Atlantic Video in downtown Washington Jan. 10—a gathering that reminded us both of our rich heritage and of the exciting times ahead. Here on this page, I want you to see party photos that spotlight some of the people who mean the most to me: the staff of Politics magazine. Without them, you wouldn’t have this issue in your hands, and I wouldn’t have one of the greatest jobs in the universe.
