They gaze at each other as I gaze at the canopy above. “Do you know who used to sleep in this bed?” I ask. “Mimi and Gina!” they cry. “That’s right,” I tell them. “Your grandmother Mimi and her sister, Gina. They used to snuggle together in this very same bed.” “Tell us a story about Gina,” they say. “Okay,” I reply. “Once upon a time, there was a little girl by anne e. quinlan C P S named Gina, and she was full of mischief.”
