There were pros and cons to having offshore production houses create CAD documents for the U.S. AEC market. The introduction of Revit and Building Information Modeling to the market brings with it more complex issues, as well as benefits, to firms here in the US—a globalization of Revit. We will explore real world issues regarding the techniques of global partnerships between production and design, and how it can benefit the design process—both for architects and builders.
