A member of the Associated New American Colleges, UE is home to approximately 2,500 full-time undergraduates hailing from 41 states and 48 countries. Our students choose from among more than 80 undergraduate areas of study offered in the College of Arts and Sciences, Schroeder Family School of Business Administration, College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the College of Education and Health Sciences. UE also offers an executive master’s in business administration and other master’s degree studies. The Evansville Experience has earned UE recognition as a “top Midwest university” by U.S. News and World Report by preparing our students to shape their futures, to enjoy personal success in their lives, and to contribute to the world we share. That experience unfolds for students through our five core principles: Academic Quality, Distinctive Curriculum, International Focus, Residential Community, and ValuesBased Environment. UE also ranks among the top 10 in the nation among master’s-granting institutions in terms of study-abroad participation. Nationally, eight percent of students study abroad during their time in college; 52 percent of UE’s students do so, with many choosing to study at UE’s British campus, Harlaxton College, located in Grantham, England. 24 The University of Indianapolis is inspiring excellence with a personal approach to education and a strong commitment to academic quality. Its outstanding faculty inspires students in small classes that allow individual attention, and students are encouraged to apply their knowledge to realworld situations through internships, active learning, and community service. The university is a private, comprehensive, residential institution of higher learning, founded in 1902 by what is now the United Methodist Church. Nearly 4,500 undergraduate and graduate students come from around the world to major in some 70 fields of study, including 22 master’s and five doctoral programs. At the University of Indianapolis, students benefit from the personal attention of faculty and academic advisers. All courses are taught by faculty, not graduate assistants. Class sizes average between 17 and 20 students. The College of Arts and Sciences offers a range of undergraduate majors from art, chemistry, and communication to sociology, theatre, and youth ministry, as well as eight master’s programs. The School of Business provides baccalaureate and master’s programs, including Indiana’s first executive MBA program. The university has four schools in the health sciences— nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and psychology—and a collaborative Center for Aging and Community. The School of Education offers many baccalaureate programs leading to state teacher licensure, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and a master of arts in teaching for professionals wishing to make a career transition to teaching. The Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning serves as a catalyst for education reform in Indiana and beyond. UIndy welcomes students of all faiths and provides extensive social, religious, and extracurricular opportunities to its students from more than 60 nations. It is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II affiliate, fielding 21 sports for men and women, as well as a popular intramural program. http://www.evansville.edu http://www.uindy.edu http://www.evansville.edu http://www.uindy.edu
