Mary (Kissling) McLean ’98 and her husband, Tom, announce the birth of their son, Owen Michael, who was born on Feb. 18, 2008. The family resides in Avon, Ind. Emily (Long) Anderson ’99, M ’99 and her husband, Wes, welcomed their second child, Gabe Maxwell, on Nov. 9, 2007. Gabe joins big brother, 2-year-old Case. Brent Miller ’97 has been named portfolio manager, fixed income team of Fort Washington Investment Advisors. Before his promotion, he served as assistant portfolio manager for three years. Jennifer (Warren) Marks ’98 had her second child, Ethan Warren Marks, on May 12, 2008. Ethan was welcomed home by big sister Abigail Rose and father Lee. JenNovember 14-16 November 29 Rhonda (White) Lambert ’96, M ’96 married Chris on Nov. 25, 2006. The couple welcomed their first child, Mackenzie Elizabeth, on Feb. 17, 2008. Rhonda works for Bath Community Hospital in outpatient, inpatient, and school settings. Andy Smith ’96, M ’96 welcomed his third son, Nathaniel, into the world on May 9, 2008. Nathaniel joins his two big brothers, Joey and Sam. Chad Walker ’96 graduated from United Way of Central Indiana’s Leadership United program for leadership and community development. Chad is an attorney at Tabbert, Hahn, Earnest & Weddle LLP in Indianapolis, Ind. Josh Leonard ’97 and his wife, Sarah (Shasteen) Leonard ’97, moved to Jasper, Ind., from Winston-Salem, N.C. Josh completed medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2001. He also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. He now practices interventional cardiology at Heartland Cardiology in Jasper, Ind. Sarah has a successful career in marketing and most recently worked for the Wake Forest University MBA school running the family business center. She is currently busy managing the couple’s four children, 4-year-old Samuel, 2-year-old Jacob, and twin daughters, Elizabeth Grace and Emma Kate, who were born on July 1, 2007. He displayed his UE pride during a mission trip with Greenwood Christian Church of Indiana to San Ramon, Costa Rica, where he played soccer and assisted with a vacation Bible school camp. Alicia (Russell) Joens ’99 married Justin Joens on May 24, 2008, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Alicia is a career advisor with the University of Iowa, and Justin is a sales representative for Budget Lighting Inc. The couple honeymooned in Napa Valley, Calif. Jeff Maresh ’99 and Emily (Koonce) Maresh ’99 welcomed a second daughter. Ella Rose arrived at 2:36 p.m. on May 14, 2008, at Methodist Medical Center in Rochester, Minn. Ella weighed 6 pounds and 3 ounces and measured 18 inches long. She was welcomed home by her 21⁄2-year-old sister, Lauren Kathleen. Jeff is employed as a financial analyst with IBM, and Emily is the community relations manager for the American Cancer Society’s Rochester office. The family resides in Rochester, Minn., with their two labrador retrievers, Oscar and Sam. We want to see where you have been showing off your Purple Pride.
