More than 100 buildings in the town are on the National Register of Historic Sites. Tours of local wineries and museums are available. Churchill Memorial 501 Westminster Avenue, Fulton, Mo. (573) 592-5369 | www.churchillmemorial.org In 1946, Sir Winston Churchill delivered his famous “Iron Curtain” Speech on the campus of Westminster College in Fulton. The event is commemorated with a museum containing Churchill memorabilia and other exhibits. In November of 1990, “Breakthrough”, a silhouette sculpture created from a section of the Berlin Wall by Churchill’s granddaughter Edwina Sandys, was erected on the site to symbolize free passage from East to West. Another highlight of the memorial is the Church of St. Mary Aldermanbury.
