Jefferson City Visitor Guide - (Page 6) Jefferson city ATTRACTIONS The Union Hotel and Lohman Building at Jefferson Landing. Harry S Truman State Office Building 301 West High Street (573) 751-2624 This attractive building occupies a full city block and houses many government offices. A Missouri Division of Tourism Welcome Center is located on the second floor. The Truman Building features an eight story atrium and has main entrances on West High and West McCarty. Jefferson Landing State Historic Site 100 Jefferson Street (573) 751-2854 | www.mostateparks.com/jeffersonland.htm Lohman Building — Built in the late 1830s, this three story limestone building is believed to be the oldest structure in Jefferson City. Part of the building was used during the 1850s - 1870s as a combination inn, store and warehouse, serving steamboat passengers. The Lohman Building houses exhibits on transportation of the nineteenth century and an audio-visual room where the video 'Welcome to Missouri's State Capitol' is available. Union Hotel — The building is open to the public for viewing of the art exhibits at the Elizabeth Rozier Gallery. Open TuesdaySaturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Closed in December.
